Our Story

Two monkeys came together for their love of rum, particularly the funk of the Caribbean (having more funk than studio 54). We met through the annual Australian distiller’s conference and came to realise that combined, we had the perfect skillset to produce the elixir of dreams.

This dream had been fermenting for 5 years separately. When two monkeys “Crooked Finger” and “Red Beard’s” parallel paths crossed, completing the perfect storm needed to put this ship on its path to producing delicious rums that you wouldn’t take home to mum… Or maybe you would…?

Distillery

Our Distillery is located in Dudley Park, 5mins North of the Adelaide CBD. We have a production facility where we ferment, distil and age our products. We also have a Cellar Door with a Verandah and grass area that is family friendly.

Products

Using a mix of open fermentations, specialty yeasts and a little black magic we aim to introduce our world to yours.
We want to continue to raise the bar of transparency with our label by outlining the ingredients and magical journey that our rum takes from us to you.
