Short Description of Red Hen
A Delicate Gin that’s Juniper forward with some soft citrus and floral notes upfront. The pallet is delicate but peppery off the back of fresh Celery Leaf, Cubeb Pepper Berries and Grains of Paradise. These tones flow smoothly with a hint of Cassia into a light but earthy finish.
A Short Story of Red Hen
Founded in 2016 by 3 brothers and a 4th honouree brother through their love of all things gin. Made in small batched of only 150 bottles in a slow traditional vapour infusion method to create a delicate style gin. Red Hen is named after the old Red Hen rail carts that the 4 founders once road to school from the Barossa to the city.
Fun Fact about Red Hen
Red Hen is Adelaide’s first modern city based distillery, but its rumoured that an illegal distillery once operated in the 1800’s called the ‘Star and Garter’ at the same location as the Red Hen distillery producing “Slow Grog” for locals.

Red Hen Negroni
This Italian cocktail is the perfect combination of spirit, sweet and bitter making it the perfect aperitif.
Ingredients
- 30ml Red Hen Gin
- 30ml Campari
- 30ml Sweet Vermouth
- Orange
Method
- Build the Negroni over the rocks in a ‘tumbler glass’ and stir.
- Garnish with a twist of Orange.
